Change the language the portal is shown in
The parent portal is available in English, Spanish (Español) and Haitian Creole (Kreyòl Ayisyen).
Steps
- Tap Settings at the bottom right of the screen.
- Under Language, tap the language you want: English, Español or Kreyòl Ayisyen.
- The portal changes language straight away. You do not need to press Save Changes.
How long it lasts
The language lives in the web address itself, so it stays as you move between screens and if you bookmark the page.
It is not saved to your account. The next time you sign in you will start in English again, because signing in always sends you to the English address first. Change it again from Settings, or bookmark the Spanish or Creole address instead.
What does not change
Choosing a language here changes what you see on this device only. It does not tell your club anything.
The Save Changes button does not send your language choice to your club: it shows "Settings saved" and nothing more. Letters, forms and phone calls from your club are unaffected. If you want your club to contact you in Spanish or Haitian Creole, tell them directly.
Parts that stay in English
Most of the portal translates, and a handful of things stay in English in every language: the message shown when no child is linked to your account, the messages shown when the Forms screen is empty, the message shown while a signature is being saved, the message shown when there is no attendance data, the name shown at the top of the screen, and the count of additional alerts when there is more than one.
Everything else on the five parent screens is translated. The three language files carry the same number of entries each, with exactly matching names, so nothing falls back to English because a translation is missing. The handful of English phrases above are written directly into the screens instead, which is a different kind of gap.
If the language does not change
Only the parent portal is translated. The rest of PTRS is English only, and there is nothing to switch on the staff screens. Check the web address: it has to start with the language you expect. If it does not, go back to the dashboard and try again.
Checked against PTRS on 7 September 2026.
