Work the resource library
The resource library is at Programs → Discover → Resource Library. It is an organisation-wide list of reusable materials, a PDF, a video, an image or a link, described as "Reusable materials for curriculum sessions".
Adding, searching and deleting all work. The one thing the screen exists for, attaching an item to a curriculum session, does not, and that is explained below.
Every other Programs screen a regional director reaches either refuses them or is empty. This screen is not inside a program, so it never runs the check that refuses that role elsewhere, and every action behind it admits the role. Both Add Resource and the delete controls work for a regional director here.
Add a resource
- Press Add Resource.
- Fill in Title and File URL, both required.
- Optionally add a Description and Tags (comma-separated).
- Choose a type: PDF, Video, Image or Link.
- Optionally tick Shared across organization.
- Press Add Resource.
File URL is a plain text box. Nothing uploads, stores, fetches, validates or checks whether what you type actually resolves to anything: PTRS takes the text, caps it at 2,000 characters, and saves it. There is no format check either; a value that is not a real web address is accepted just the same.
The library is a list of links to files kept somewhere else.
That setting is saved, shown as a chip and given its own lookup, and nothing anywhere ever actually checks it. Every item is already visible to everyone in the organisation regardless of how the box is set.
Ticking the box changes what the card looks like and nothing else.
Find a resource
- The search box matches your text against the title, the description and the tags, as a substring, matching the exact letters you typed. Typing "PDF" and typing "pdf" are two different searches.
- The All Types choice filters on an exact match against the content type.
Both are sent to PTRS rather than applied on your screen, so they search the whole library rather than only what is currently visible. The list is not paged: every item in the organisation comes back on every request, newest first.
Delete a resource
Press the bin icon on a card and confirm.
There is no undo and no archive. Any curriculum session material pointing at the item has its reference cleared rather than being deleted along with it. In practice no such material exists, for the reason below.
What you cannot do here
Edit an item
Correcting an item is built correctly and reachable from no screen. There is no edit control on the card or anywhere else. A wrong title or a broken web address can only be fixed by deleting the item and adding it again.
Attach an item to a curriculum session
This is the screen's stated purpose. Its own empty message reads "Add resources to make them available for curriculum sessions", and it cannot be done.
The one action that would attach a library item to a session is reachable from no screen: the Curriculum Builder's materials tab is read-only, with no add control on it.
So a resource can never actually be attached to anything, and every session in every curriculum shows "No materials yet", however many items the library holds.
Tell what a resource is used by
There is no usage count, no back-reference and no warning on delete. Because nothing can attach an item in the first place, there would be nothing to show today, but someone integrating directly who does attach materials should know that deleting a library item silently detaches them.
For someone integrating directly
All four actions behind this screen work. Creating a resource takes the organisation from your own sign-in rather than from what you send, unlike the Members create path, so there is no cross-organisation write here.
The action that would attach materials to a session is replace-all: send the full list of materials for the session, and the previous set is removed first. It does not check that the resource you name actually exists, so validate that on your side.
